What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Staff are a genuine highlight — Guests repeatedly mention a friendly, helpful and attentive team, from check-in introductions to small gestures at breakfast.
  • Location made for sightseeing — The Colosseum is roughly a 19-minute walk away, and the Repubblica – Teatro dell'Opera metro station is a short ride from the hotel.
  • Roof terrace breakfasts — Several guests single out breakfast on the roof terrace, with views over the city and a good selection of pastries and cold cuts.
  • Consistent value — Reviewers describe good value for money, with clean rooms and free Wi-Fi working well.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Rooms can be compact — Some guests found standard rooms a little small, though clean and comfortable.
  • Facilities show their age in places — One recent guest noted dated facilities and an odd smell, so room condition can vary.
  • No pets allowed — The hotel's policy bars pets, so it's not a fit for travellers with animals.
  • Late check-ins are limited — Check-in closes at 23:59, so arrivals after midnight will need to adjust plans.

“The location felt perfect — right in the middle of everything, within easy walking distance of the main sights, and not far from the train station. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, happy to answer questions and requests. My room was spacious, clean, and had everything I needed. The rooftop terrace was a highlight, especially for breakfast with lovely views. Service was excellent, with room service and car hire available. Free Wi-Fi kept me connected. A luxurious, comfortable stay I'd recommend to anyone.”

8Verified guest

“Friendly, helpful staff. The room was comfortable though a little small. Good central location, yet quiet. Breakfast was nice, especially the caffè latte. Good value overall.”

“Very friendly staff and an excellent location.”

8Verified guest

“The attentiveness of the staff genuinely surprised us. One breakfast waiter went out of his way to make sure my wife got the croissants she liked, even bringing out freshly baked ones just for her. A small gesture, but it made us feel well looked after. Highly recommended for attentive, friendly service.”

8Verified guest

“Helpful staff, a great location, and rooms that were a good size for two adults plus a baby.”
